This year Dr. Martens has celebrated the 60th anniversary of the iconic 1461 by collaborating with many acclaimed labels and designers around the world. This time they teamed up with Hong Kong based CLOT for an exciting take on the classic low top, releasing on Saturday, May 29.
The design combines CLOT’s signature red hue and traditional Chinese-influence with Dr. Martens’ classic aesthetic and era-defining 1461 silhouette. The redisegned shoe plays on the symbolism of the color red: in Chinese culture, the color could be interpreted as representing luck, youth or fortune – whilst in the eyes of Dr. Martens, it is representative of the expressive and authentic spirit of the youth.
Dr. Martens x CLOT: 1461 releases in-store in Beamhill Helsinki on Saturday, May 29 at 11:00. The stock will be listed online later on Saturday.
